Connect Microsoft Ads

Sign in with Microsoft, pick which Microsoft Advertising accounts you want synced, and Crowflow handles the rest.

What we’ll do

When you connect Microsoft Ads, Crowflow asks for the msads.manage scope — the single scope Microsoft offers for the Advertising API. We use only the read surface (reporting calls). We never edit campaigns or change settings.

You can revoke access at any time from your Microsoft account app permissions page.

Connect your account

  1. Sign in to Crowflow.
  2. Open Connections and click Connect Microsoft Ads.
  3. Sign in with the Microsoft identity that has access to your Microsoft Advertising customer and accounts. This is typically the same identity you use at ads.microsoft.com.
  4. Approve the permission prompt. You’ll be returned to Crowflow.

Pick accounts to sync

On the Microsoft Ads connection page, click Load accessible accounts. Crowflow calls Microsoft’s Customer Management SOAP API (specifically GetCustomersInfo + GetAccountsInfo) and lists every ad account you have access to.

Toggle each account you want synced. Your plan tier sets a maximum across all platforms combined — see plan limits.

What syncs, what doesn’t

The same opinionated schema we use for Google Ads and Meta Ads — one row per campaign per day:

  • Date
  • Platform (Microsoft Ads)
  • Campaign name
  • Impressions
  • Clicks
  • Conversions
  • Spend

We pull campaign performance via Microsoft’s Reporting API (specifically the CampaignPerformanceReportRequest with daily aggregation). Ad-group and ad-level data isn’t included — see the Google Ads article for the reasoning.

First sync & refresh

Click Refresh now from the dashboard. The first sync pulls the last 30 days of campaign performance. Subsequent daily syncs (on Starter and Pro) maintain the same 30-day rolling window.

Microsoft 13-month backfill is coming.Google Ads already supports a full 13-month INITIAL backfill on first connect; Microsoft currently pulls 30 days. We’re shipping Microsoft backfill next. If you need full history right now, email us and we’ll run it for you manually.

Troubleshooting

“GetCustomersInfo returned 0 customers.” The signed-in Microsoft identity isn’t linked to a Microsoft Advertising customer. Either log into ads.microsoft.com with this identity first, or reconnect using a different identity that does have access.

“GetAccountsInfo returned no ad accounts.” Your customer exists but has no active ad accounts. Make sure your accounts haven’t been paused or archived.

For everything else, check why did my sync fail?
